Great Motorcycle Exhausts
Guzzi California
I took my 1997 Guzzi California in to Cycleworks to have a workover in the motorcycle exhaust department. The guys were real helpful in showing me various designs they could come up with and making suggestions about what might go best with the bike. Thinking back I wasn’t that clear on my instructions to them – I just said I would like a bit more noise and hopefully some more power in the mid-range which had always seemed a bit flat to me.
I was really impressed with how the bike looked when I picked it up. Then I heard it and all of a sudden it was sounding like a Guzzi should sound – a deep throaty pumping with an Italian accent. I rode away with a bit of trepidation as I was expecting some backfiring or engine misfires or something but nothing other than a whole new feel to the bike.
It was pulling just so much better across the entire rev range but most importantly in the mid range. It became a completely different bike with more power across the range and even more low down grunt. The price for the job was pretty good too.
I was really pleased with the job the guys did and can recommend them for their quality of work and the results they get.

Aluminium Race Muffler Honda XR250
I have just fitted one of your mufflers to my Honda XR250 -
what a improvement!
My muffler is aluminium but I am rapt with the sound, looks and performance, just some feed back for you Damon.
Thanks for your prompt service.

XR250R
Damon, Hi
Baffle arrived for my XR250R. Thanks. It looks well made and I'm confident it will take the anti-social bark off the thing nicely.
Many years ago I bought a chromed 4-1 system off Cycleworks for my GS650E of that time. It had a great tone to it... was easy to repack the baffle in...and was on the bike for over 70,000 km at which point I sold the bike...hence I have a great deal of faith in the quality of Cycleworks stuff and its reasonable pricing.
Later we bought a painted system off you for a DR200 that our son ran into the ground. It fitted up well... had a good but in-offensive note and required no extra tuning
Long may you keep producing the goods

Bennelli TRE-K
What do you do with a brand new rare motorcycle that has the standard well muffled and power restricted exhaust?
I recently got the boys at Cycleworks to modify the exhaust on a new Benelli TRE-K. Retaining the original look, they stripped and rebuilt the muffler then handmade the tail piece in stainless to suit the bike better than the original. (see photo) Not only has it freed up the power, it now sounds like a Italian triple should.
Cycleworks have also done some very tidy frame bracing, specialized welding and created a precision pair of mufflers on another rare Italian machine for me. These guys know what their on about and I’m more than happy to endorse their work to anyone.

Damon,
The motorcycle exhaust arrived ok. I fitted it last night took me all of about 30 minutes tops. I must congratulate on the quality of the work especially in the way that it fitted perfectly and did not foul anything even the passenger footpeg. The noise level is fine not that louder than standard. The performance increase was noticed immediately so much more torque down low it even starts easier.
Now I guess I need to get that 300 kit and open up the air filter box a bit it has a very small rubber intake on top. I had to file of the blob welded on the engine pipe, I guess it is there to retain the flange, as it lined up perfectly with the stud and the nut would not go on. It was not an issue just a few minutes with a file fixed it.
I will recommend you to anyone who is interested.
Thanks

I am still in shock…
The sort of end result you only see in magazines, with comments like ‘fanatic spent 2 years hand crafting’ etc..
A simple concept/idea in my head turned into reality by these artists, obvious engineering professionals the way they sculpted the pipe length and routing around the shock, under the chain, and missing the stand, I was speech-less.
Oh, and did I mention the price, an entirely original job that was a million times better than off-the-shelf third part stuff that cost 30% less.
Cycleworks – I Love you guys…
My mates are so envious….
